    Posey's bill mirrors legislation introduced by his predecessor, Dave Weldon, R-Indialantic. Posey's bill, however, allows the shuttle to retire once a U.S.-based supplier, such as Space X, is certified to take NASA astronauts to the space station. (Florida Today)

    Sadly, that appeared not to be the case in FLORIDA TODAYS Feb. 4 editorial about former GOP Congressman Dave Weldon taking a job with the Alaska Aerospace Development Corp. board of directors. The editorial accused Dr. Weldon of Switching teams and stated his Alaska space post could cost Brevard County more jobs, finishing with: But to say the move is disappointing is putting it mildly.
